How to install Sense/Net 6.0 with WebPI?

[edit] Prerequisites
To install Sense/Net 6.0 via the Web Platform installer the following two prerequisites have to be met.
- IIS7 support
- Web Deployment Tool installed
- MSSQL database with Fulltext support and SQL authentication
[edit] IIS7 support
The Web Platform Installer currently supports installation on Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7.
[edit] Web Platform Installer
Download the Microsoft Web Platform Installer from the official site and install it. Run the Web Platform Installer and select from the What's New tab select the Web Deployment Tool from the Web Platform Beta Extensions section. Complete the installation of this tool.
[edit] MSSQL database with Fulltext support and SQL autehentication
- Make sure you are running either MSSQL 2005 or MSSQL 2008 with fulltext support installed.
If running an MSSQL Server Express Edition be sure to have the version with Advanced Services installed. (MSSQL 2005 Express With Advanced Services or MSSQL 2008 Express With Advanced Services
- Make sure the SQL Server instance is set to allow SQL Server and Windows authentication mode.
[edit] Installation Steps
- Download the Sense/Net 6.0 Web Platform Installer Package
- Start the IIS 7 Management Console
- Add a new site
- Right click on the newly created site and select Manage Packages->Import Application. Select the zip package you have downloaded with browsing and import it
- After the import has finished. right click on the site and select Manage Web Site->Browse
- The portal loads and starts installing. The install should be complete in a few minutes
- Click on the Launch sample portal button after the install has finished to start the portal
